Display Modes - Red

Red mode signifies that S.O.L.I.D. Authentication® has been advised of a potential security risk with the current site.

This site may be attempting to obtain personal details illicitly.

Since S.O.L.I.D. Authentication® updates its database regularly, this may be based on new information received in the last few minutes.

It is highly recommended that you close the browser window/tab when you see the red warning.

When S.O.L.I.D. Authentication® discovers a security risk, it blocks the site being downloaded to your PC to help prevent malware which is often present on fake sites, and also show a red popup window to warn you not to enter personal details into the browser window.

Often S.O.L.I.D. Authentication® knows what the real site is you were attempting to visit, and if it is known, it shows its name, and usually its logo too. The recommended action is to click OK which takes you to the real site (default).

Alternatively you can click on the "Close the window/tab now" button and S.O.L.I.D. Authentication® will close the window/tab for you, or you can proceed to the web site, but at your own risk. If you choose this option the main S.O.L.I.D. Authentication® window will continue to show the red icon, but the red popup window will not appear again for this browser window. This action is not recommended.
